We are looking for qualified Electro Mechanical Technicians who have the ability to Test, Assemble, Fault-Find and update job status on ERP shop orders. Work agile and contribute where it’s necessary.
The role will be reporting to the Manager: Antenna Production
Your role:
To ensure continuous adherence to all policies, procedures and production standards
To ensure that production documents are updated to latest manufacturing status
To ensure the continuous identification of more cost-effective production methods and processes
To ensure the accurate mechanical assembly as set out in the requirements of the doc pack. To ensure that all testing is done as specified by ATP - Specification sheet
Ensure effective execution of assigned work
To determine repairs to be performed on particular items and distribute these to relevant area to be repaired
To contribute to the team to ensure the achievement of divisional and team goals
Ability to test, assemble, fault-find and update job status on ERP orders ensuring that delivery due dates are met
Manufacture and testing of a variety of EW Antennas
Testing and fault-finding of Antenna assemblies and RF products (0.7 - 42 GHz)
Observing and maintaining shelf life of materials, 5's, ESD, FOD and other lean and manufacturing principles.
Ability to use processes and procedures as documented in executing testing of parts i.e SRU's and LRU's
Ensure proper use and safekeeping of tools, test equipment and special jigs used in execution of duties
Create NCR’s in system when any failures are experienced
Perform quality work within the standard time allocated
Your profile
The person must be output focused to ensure that customer deliveries are met. Be a team player to support the Manager in meeting departmental goals in terms of quality, performance, cost and timeous deliveries.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
3 – 10 years years of related practical experience in an agile environment
Ability to read schematic drawings and engineering instructions for assembling units
Generate reports and record data on testing results
Understands and applies configuration processes
Achieves and maintains a high level of technical and professional skills/knowledge in job-related areas Keeps abreast of current developments and trends in their area of expertise. Achieves required results in specific technical/professional areas
Must be able to understand the functionality of Test Equipment/Instrumentation and utilise them in Testing & fault-finding of LRU (Line Replaceable Units)
Knowledge of the Company's SOPS and execution thereof
Overall testing/assembling on 3 to 4 Projects
Ability to work with microscopes with good hand and eye co-ordination

National Diploma / BTech Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
