Your role - Saab is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Operational Excellence (OPEX) to join our dynamic team. This role is part of the Business Support organization, led by the Deputy Business Unit Manager. You will be managing a small group of change leaders and working closely with other Business Support functions, including Configuration
Management/Information Management, Quality, IT, and Security.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business unit, while also supporting strategic initiatives for growth and development.
What you'll do:
Lead the development and maintenance of our operational governance model, ensuring alignment with both internal and corporate standards.
Manage business development activities, both internally within the business unit and externally with broader organizational stakeholders.
Serve as a key liaison with our Digital Operations (DigOp) team, driving the integration of digital solutions into our operational processes.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between our Process Methods & Tools (PM&T) team and corporate leadership.
Manage operational development activities, both internally within the business unit and externally with broader organizational stakeholders.
Lead Business Support meetings in the absence of the Deputy BU manager.
Act as a continuous facilitator for the BU AEW Decision Board, working alongside the Deputy BU Manager or the Head of Business Unit as chairman.
Your profile
We are looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence. You have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement. Experienced in leading and managing change initiatives, ideally within a high-tech environment. A technical background is a plus, but not a requirement.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
