Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, high caliber professional to join our HR Staff, based in Syracuse, NY.  This is a hybrid role as you will have responsibility for collaborating with business leaders in you assigned organization as well as Shared Service responsibilities with respect to our HRIS strategy (Workday), overall U.S.  Compliance and U.S. Staffing strategy.    

Human Resource Business Partner:

  • Work with HR team to create, implement and execute HR programs including performance management, compensation, strategic training plan, policy and procedures etc.

  • Coach Managers and leaders on strategies for ensuring outstanding employee relations; guide manages through employee relations issues and engage legal counsel when appropriate.

  • Serve as a partner to Senior Leaders on the creation of development plans for key talent and determine what development solutions may be appropriate.

  • Participate in hiring process for key roles.

  • Work with leaders to ensure successful execution of the year-end performance management/compensation process including employee calibration.

  • Leverage HR knowledge to gather insight and develop new programs to engage and retain employee population

In addition to your HRBP responsibilities you will also manage:

  • Partnering with our HRIS Analyst/Compensation professional continuously look to enhancing existing functionality, vet new modules, and assist our end users to maximize Workday's capabilities. 

  • Ensures consistency of all HR practices policies and procedures across all geographical locations in the U.S. The development, implementation and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures and ensure he compensation program and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to or current compensation strategy.

  • Oversee compliance with Federal, state and local employment laws and regulations as well as all compliance (EEO/AAP) reporting.

  • Lead a team of recruiter’s in executing the staffing process as well as developing a staffing strategy across the U.S. to ensure we are getting top talent for our open jobs. 

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Industrial Relations, Business or related discipline

  • 10-15 years’ experience in an HR role with increasing responsibilities

  • Knowledge and experience in numerous Human Resource specialty areas, such areas as compensation, HRIS (Workday) and recruitment. 

  • Ability to direct and influence at all levels of the organization to drive results

  • Excellent customer service skills with positive and helpful demeanor

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

  • Ability to provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced HR Professionals

  • Strong preference experience working with Workday or similar software

  • Self-starter and self-directed with the ability to think creatively for efficiency and process improvement

  • Ability to multi-task, balancing a number of tasks efficiently

Citizenship Requirements:
