Your role
The newly established Platforms & Software section within SAAB BU Surveillance, PU Digital Battlespace is responsible for several of SAAB's Battle Labs, where experimentation, development, research, and evaluation of both current and future C2 (Command and Control) and C5ISR solutions take place. These labs also support the development and integration of a range of SAAB platforms.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an Integration Specialist / Integration Engineer who will play a key role in the continued development of our laboratory environments. As we build a new Battle Lab and further enhance our existing facilities, you will be involved in everything from planning and preparation to deployment, operation, and continuous improvement of the labs. You will work closely with colleagues within the section as well as with stakeholders across SAAB.

The role is primarily based at SAAB's sites in Järfälla and Solna, with occasional work at other locations in the Stockholm area depending on project and operational needs.
Business travel may occur from time to time but is not a regular part of the role.
Your profile
You are an experienced Integration Specialist or Integration Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges in dynamic environments. Driven by curiosity and a passion for technology, you continuously seek opportunities to improve, optimize, and develop the systems and solutions you work with.
You are a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. You also have a keen interest in emerging technologies and are excited by the opportunities that AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) bring to system development and integration.
We believe that you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Engineering, or a related field, or have acquired equivalent knowledge and experience through alternative education and relevant professional experience.
We are looking for someone with proven experience and strong knowledge in several of the following areas:
- System-of-Systems (SoS) integration across networked environments
- Networking, including configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and multicast routing
- Virtualization and container technologies such as VMware, OpenStack, Proxmox, Docker, or similar platforms
- Clustering and high-availability solutions
- Linux and Windows server administration
- Scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
- Security features and hardening of Linux and Windows environments, including firewalls, logging, monitoring, and system protection
We also value
- A strong desire to learn, explore, and master new technologies, systems, and interfaces
- Experience working with military systems, defence solutions, or Saab products
- A valid driver's licence, as occasional travel between sites may be required
As Saab operates in an international environment, you are expected to communicate effectively in both Swedish and English, verbally and in writing.
