Your role
Are you ready to take a leading role in shaping Integrated Product Support (IPS) at Saab? As Manager IPS, you will have end‑to‑end responsibility for IPS disciplines for our products, playing a critical role in ensuring delivery capability, system availability, and long‑term customer value.
Integrated Product Support (IPS) at Saab ensures that our systems are designed, delivered, and maintained to meet customer needs, with a focus on delivery capability and long-term value.
As Manager IPS, you ensure that Integrated Product Support is designed and delivered to support our customer needs. You are responsible for all IPS functions within the section supporting our systems and integration projects, including:
- IPS Management
- Technical Publications
- Training
- Analysis
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the IPS section, including people management, competence development, resource planning, and work environment
- Ensure that IPS deliveries meet contractual and customer requirements in terms of training, technical documentation, and sustainment
- Develop and continuously improve ways of working across IPS disciplines to increase efficiency, quality, and collaboration
- Drive digitalization and continuous improvement within the IPS area
- Work closely with project management, system, software and hardware development, as well as aftersales and customer organisations
- Contribute to the long‑term development of IPS capabilities within the product unit
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you are a structured and development‑oriented leader who thrives in complex technical environments. You combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on, results‑driven mindset and understand how clear system descriptions, user interfaces, and operational guidance are critical parts of operational success.
You build trust through clear communication, foster collaboration across organisational boundaries, and actively contribute to Saab’s strategic and cultural goals. With a strong business understanding and customer focus, you are able to balance long‑term planning with day‑to‑day execution.
Required skills:
- MSc degree or equivalent experience
- Experience as a line manager, including people leadership and resource responsibility
- Experience within digital transformation and/or change management
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish and English
Desired skills:
- Experience working within IPS within the defence industry
- Experience of working with radar systems, Command and Control systems or other complex system solutions
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
