Manager Computer Software Command & Control (C2)

Are you ready to lead and develop computer software for advanced Command and Control systems? As Manager Computer Software C2, you will play a key role in delivering software that enables successful Command and Control products and projects, supporting customers in mission‑critical and secure environments.

Your role

As Manager Computer Software C2, you are responsible for one of the software sections within the Command and Control organization.
The department’s purpose is to deliver complete C2 products and project deliveries, ensuring that software solutions meet requirements for functionality, quality, security, and delivery precision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Line management responsibility for the section, including people leadership, competence development, resource planning, and work environment.
  • Design responsibility for computer software delivered within C2 products and customer projects, ensuring compliance with architecture, processes, and quality requirements.
  • Ensure efficient and timely software development supporting project execution, system integration, and product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate closely with system engineering, integration, project management, and other design units to secure end‑to‑end C2 deliveries.
  • Drive and contribute to the transformation towards modern software development methodologies, tools, and ways of working.
  • Initiate and lead improvement initiatives to increase development efficiency, predictability, and software quality.
     

Your profile

You are an experienced leader with a strong interest in software development in a product‑ and project‑oriented context. You combine technical understanding with clear, trust‑based leadership and thrive in complex environments where delivery, quality, and customer commitment are critical.

You communicate clearly, create engagement, and build strong cross‑functional relationships. You actively contribute to Saab’s strategic goals and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Required skills:

  • Technical university degree (MSc) or equivalent experience
  • Experience as a line manager, including people leadership and resource responsibility
  • Experience from software development in complex, preferably mission‑critical systems
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken Swedish and English
     

Desired skills:

  • Experience from secure and/or safety‑critical environments
  • Interest in complex systems, system integration, and C2 solutions
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies and tooling
  • Knowledge of Integrated Product Creation (IPC) and quality processes
  • Strong business understanding, customer focus, and product/project delivery experience

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
