Your role
You will be the Manager of the unit Quality Management East consisting of approximately twelve employees within Quality Management and Operational Excellence. The team is situated in both Järfälla and Arboga and supports different part of the Surface Sensor Solutions organisation.
The team covers Quality Management planning, execution and monitoring within projects as well as support to the line organizations regarding both quality and operational excellence knowledge.
As a unit manager, you will work on a strategic, as well as on an operative level to secure and improve the execution of projects and operations from a quality perspective. This unit is in close collaboration with many projects and line organisations at Surface Sensor Solutions Solution and it is important to understand the interactions and its part in the bigger picture.
As a manager for this unit, you are expected to be on both sites (Järfälla & Arboga) for an equal amount of time.
Your tasks will typically include the following:
- Maintain and further strengthen the Quality Management within the relevant parts of Surface Sensor Solutions
- Be an active part of the quality department management team, also including the strategy and operational planning for the department’s working areas: Quality Management and Project Quality Management
- Line management responsibilities including, for example, occupational health and safety responsibilities, competence planning and coaching.
- Empower your employees by coaching and leading according to Saab’s values
- Ensure that your employees have the competence and confidence to handle current and future work, and recruit and introduce new employees when applicable
- Translate strategies and high-level goals into clear and well communicated targets for your unit

You share your professional expertise and have a high degree of personal maturity. You also have the courage to drive change.
Required skills:
- Relevant education or experience within quality management
- Experience from line management, leadership and coaching
- An ability to work well with many different people and professions
- Excellent skills in Swedish and English, spoken and written
Desired skills:
- Experience from improvement work
- International experience
- Experience of the Saab product portfolio
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
