Do you want to work in a company that develops systems to help keep people and society safe?
We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Manager for our Integrated Product Support (IPS/ILS) and System Safety.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 20 professionals in the development and execution of our IPS/ILS and system-safety activities throughout the product lifecycle—from concept and design through production, deployment, operation, maintenance and disposal. Working closely with engineering, project management, operations, customers and suppliers, you will ensure that supportability and safety are embedded in system design and project decisions.
Your Role:
• Lead, develop and motivate a multidisciplinary IPS/ILS and system-safety team of approximately 20 employees.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization and lessons learned across projects and organization.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risks, priorities, quality and deliverables within the function.
• Define and implement IPS/ILS and system-safety strategies, plans, processes and governance across multiple projects.
• Ensure that supportability, availability, reliability, maintainability, safety and lifecycle-cost requirements are incorporated into system design from an early stage.
You will oversee activities such as:
- Integrated Logistics Support planning
- Logistics Support Analysis (LSA)
- Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Testability (RAMT)
- Maintenance-task analysis and maintenance planning
- Provisioning and spare-parts optimization
- Technical publications and product support data
- Lifecycle-cost and supportability analysis
We expect you to lead and govern system-safety activities throughout the lifecycle, including:
- Safety planning and definition of safety-management plans
- Hazard identification, analysis and risk assessment
- Development and management of safety requirements
Together with your team, you will support bids and proposals by defining support and safety concepts, work packages, estimates and delivery plans. You ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, security, export-control and safety requirements.
Your profile
You are a confident and collaborative leader who can balance people, technical requirements and project priorities. You communicate clearly, make well-founded decisions and create structure in complex environments. You have the professional integrity to escalate safety concerns when necessary and are comfortable working across organizational boundaries.
• Relevant university degree in engineering, logistics, systems engineering, safety engineering or a comparable discipline—or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably managing technical specialists or multidisciplinary teams.
• Good understanding of systems engineering, configuration management and project delivery.
• Good understanding of IPS/ILS and system-safety principles, methods and deliverables, with the ability to lead and support subject-matter experts in these disciplines.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks and competing project priorities.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
As an ideal candidate you will bring:
