Job Description:

Saab, Inc, in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Material Handler to join the Manufacturing/ Production team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Receive in all incoming materials for programs and non-programs deliveries.

  • Convey material from receiving dock to appropriate locations.

  • Ability to pick materials for release to Production.

  • Ability to perform all necessary transactions in Oracle to receive and stock production materials.

  • Ability to perform cycle counts and year-end inventory.*Ability to ship domestic and international shipments using UPS, Fed Ex, and Freight Forwarders.

  • Ability to set up and perform movement of material between several company storage locations.

  • Effectively use appropriate tools such as forklift, hand trucks, parts picker and computer skills.

  • Understanding compliance with government export regulations on foreign exports.

Compensation Range: $18.03-$20.72

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Prior experience with best commercial packaging practices

  • Working knowledge of Oracle MRP Inventory Management principles and Shipping/Receiving modules

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of MS Excel and Oracle (or similar accounting system) desired
