People & Culture Systems & Data Analyst
The role
Saab Australia is undertaking a significant People data and digitalisation uplift to support customer delivery, drive efficiencies, and people experience improvements. An essential part of People Program team, the People & Culture Systems and Data Analyst is responsible for managing the integrity of Saab Australia’s people data to:
• Support business decision-making
• Ensuring data is managed confidentiality and with integrity, and
• Ensuring security and effective data governance.
In close collaboration with the People Systems & Analytics Lead you will lead, support and assist with efficient and responsive transaction of a range of People & Culture/HRIS processes relative to HRIS system enhancement and optimisation, people data reports design and delivery, and HRIS capability building.
Additionally, you will collaborate across functional areas to identify data sources, scalable solutions and lead and support on assigned People & Culture projects as required.
Further, the successful candidate will:
- Collect, organise and maintain people-related data in the HRIS (Workday) to ensure accuracy, completeness, security, and consistency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance and troubleshoot technical issues related to HRIS and other software tools
- Contribute to the development and embedding of the people data governance framework
- Develop and run reports from the HRIS and present in different formats providing analysis and insights as required
- Continuously review, improve and document processes to optimise process efficiency and system utilisation.
- Provide training, documentation and support to the People & Culture team and other business stakeholders regarding the HRIS (Workday). Create and maintain workflow documentation, knowledge articles, and user guides
- Collaborate with People & Culture leaders and other business stakeholders to develop data-driven strategies that improve the performance and wellbeing of Saab Australia’s workforce
- Work with the People & Culture Systems & Analytics Lead to determine and analyse requirements for people data, compliance, and systems to ensure future workforce scale.
- Engage with the Saab global digital team to design and implement system enhancements for SAAB Australia. Where required, lead, and/or provide support to People & Culture and other Saab projects as required.
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
This is a Full time Fixed term contract for 2 years and is an Adelaide based role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
- 3 years relevant experience and proficiency in Workday HCM administration, People data management and analysis
- Extensive experience working with people related processes, within a People & Culture team
- Experience with basic data visualisation analytics tools such as Power BI
- Experience with data modelling and analytics and related tools
- Strong verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data and technical information is a clear and concise manner
- Ability to establish effective and professional working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior leaders in a complex environment
- Intermediate to advance excel competency (including Excel VBA), MSSQL, hands on experience with data manipulation
- Experience with professional document creation and editing skills with a strong attention to detail
- Document Management experience
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organise competing work demands and to operate efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities to produce timely, high-quality responses, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues related to data management and analysis
As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level or have the ability to gain one. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
