Your role
As a Project Manager within Product Unit Fighter Radar you will have a meaningful role driving internal and external deliveries through all product development phases, from development to production, as well as research and study projects. Products are characterized by high performance world-class technology with very demanding requirements on size, weight and power working in extremely harsh environmental conditions. Further involves electronics, Software and Mechanical design and offers possibility to build both technical and people skills.
As a Project Manager, Fighter Radar you will:
Cradle to grave, plan and execute projects with focus on analog/digital electronics as well as software development.
Successfully build project teams with colleagues from other SAAB business units and functions, such as system design, software design, electronics design, system integration and verification.
Through all product development phases, engage and motivate team members to deliver state of art products.
Perform stakeholder management to ensure project time, scope, cost and quality are meeting set expectations.
Closely collaborate with supporting functions involved in project delivery such as Procurement and Production to enable successful project delivery.
Actively contribute in developing new ways-of-working with focus on lead-time reduction and if necessary, drive change in assigned project(s).
Your profile
To be successful in this role, we see that you have the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and hold leadership skillset. This includes problem-solving, attention to details as well as good communication skills. We see that you hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics, Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent. You have a genuine interest in electronics and SW Development of complex products.
Experience in following areas is required:
Led projects focusing on developing electronics and/or software.
Project Management experience within organizations applying agile ways-of-working.
Proven leadership track record concerning leading complex projects from technical and coordination perspective.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
