Your role
In the position as Project Manager, Business Unit Submarines, you will be part of a team dedicated and responsible in securing successful delivery of our submarine projects.
You will lead the work within your project and be responsible for that we deliver according to expectations. The role include many interactions with stakeholders such as customers, vendors and other business areas within Saab. You report to the Head of project management, Business Unit Submarines. The role include business travels between our offices in Lund and Karlskrona. Travels abroad occur but varies depending on our projects.
Your main tasks:
- Ensure professional management of projects across the entire Business Unit within the framework of the Project Directive and Project Plan
- Responsible for the day to day management with focus on project deliveries, time planning and budgeting, documentation development and maintenance
- Follow up on time, costs, risks, opportunities and quality
- Reporting to steering committees, stakeholders and line manager as appropriate.
- Pro-active stakeholder management – both internally and to external partners or subcontractors
- Manage customer offers and contracts
- Adapt and follow the project management process within Saab
- Identify and introduce improvements to the working method
Your profile
We believe you have several years' experience as project manager, proven leadership skills and the ability to cooperate and navigate in an organization developing and maintaining advanced products.
We are looking for an outgoing team player with solid stakeholder management skills. You have strong analytical and planning skills as well the drive to deliver the projects on time with quality. We believe you are structured while showing flexibility, easily gaining trust and interacting with people at different levels.
Required skills:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. engineering degree or similar technical background
- Several years’ experience as project manager
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to cooperate and navigate in an organization developing and maintaining advanced products
- Project Scope, Time and Cost Management
- Project Communication Management
- Project Risk and Opportunity Management
- Understanding/experience of commercial terms and their aspects on the project
- Demonstrated experience in managing contracts
- Project Procurement Management
- Engineering processes, tools and methods
- Great communication skills in Swedish and English, verbal and written
- Experienced user of MS Office package
Desired skills:
- IPMA certification
- Understanding/experience of classification and Security management
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes in complex situations.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
