Your role
Join the Fighter Radar organisation as a software developer and take on an important role in one of our growing software development teams! The teams are responsible for the development and maintenance of radar application software, providing you with the opportunity to influence both product characteristics and our operational practices.
The development teams are responsible for:
- Breaking down and refining requirements
- Designing and implementing software solutions
- Integrating, testing, and verifying the software developed by the team
- Collaborating with colleagues from various parts of Saab, such as system design, system integration and verification, quality assurance, product management, and project management
- Driving efficient software development practices
- Utilising agile methodologies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, etc.)
- Actively contributing to product roadmap definitions
Your profile
We are looking for a dedicated and self-motivated individual who enjoys programming and has a strong sense of ownership. You should be able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, and have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Desired experiences include:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a genuine interest in software development and complex products.
- Software development practices, including version handling and CI/CD
- Proficiency in Linux
- Experience with high-performance computing
- Programming in C++
Advantageous competencies include:
- Version control systems
- CI/CD tools
- Real-time systems
- Communication protocols
- Radar technology
- Signal processing
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
