After the successful establishment of our Finland operations last year, we are now expanding our development organization with several new positions!

Your role

In the System Engineer role, you will provide interdisciplinary engineering design and management support over the lifecycle of different naval engineering projects. You will be part of an agile and experienced development team in Finland with a broad focus on different system features globally.

The main tasks are:

  • Ensure that the system design meets the requirements of the overall program plan
  • Complete elements of the system level design and ensure technical integrity, cost and schedule are maintained
  • Identify and develop requirements for lower-level sub-systems and product components
  • Work with vendors to determine the proper technical characteristics of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Military-Off-The-Shelf (MOTS) products and document the requirements for the lower-level products
  • Determine the performance parameters of system and subsystem elements
  • Assure the system solution complies with standards (e.g. Defense technical standards, regulatory etc.)
  • Prepare material to support mandatory system reviews

Your profile

As a person, you are truly a doer, willing to get hands-on solving any problems needed to help the product and the organisation move forward. Ideally, you share our eagerness to learn new technologies, and to challenge the status quo.

Required skills/experience:

  • BSC/MSC degree in systems engineering, electrical, electronics, computer systems or mechatronics engineering (or similar engineering degree)
  • Development of complex systems of a similar domain or magnitude
  • Planning and scheduling skills
  • Producing and reviewing technical documentation
  • Good SW & HW development and architecture understanding

Good-to-have skills/experience:

  • Knowledge of DOORS
  • Understanding of defense projects lifecycles
  • Big picture thinking
