Join our dynamic engineering team at Tactical Functions, Saab, where we develop and deliver complex software solutions for Electronic Warfare systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining requirements, managing scope, and ensuring the successful delivery of software releases.
Electronic Warfare Electronic Warfare (EW) involves using signals such as radio, infrared, or radar to sense, protect, and disrupt adversaries’ abilities. As a Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development of EW systems that are critical for national security and defence.
Your Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirements definition to system integration and verification. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements. Additionally, you will manage the scope of software releases, balancing stakeholder needs with technical constraints.
Your role will include developing and maintaining system architectures and designs, as well as supporting the creation of system documentation. You will also participate in risk management activities, identifying and mitigating potential issues.
Furthermore, you will prepare documentation for design reviews, conduct reviews with customers, and create operational and administrative manuals. Ensuring requirements traceability throughout the development lifecycle and managing configurations will also be part of your responsibilities.

Your Profile We are looking for an experienced and motivated Systems Engineer who is eager to learn and always trying to improve themselves. You actively support and contribute to an innovative engineering culture.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, with a strong background in requirements management and software releases.
- Experience with system architecture and design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with system integration and verification.
- Fluent in Swedish and English.
Location and Travel We are currently located in Järfälla but will move to Solna in early 2026. Since you will collaborate with colleagues on other Saab sites, you might travel occasionally. Saab is a global company and could provide the possibility to work abroad.
Security Vetting This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance, additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
