Enterprise Partnering Agreement

Strengthening Australia’s naval combat management system capability through an enterprise-level approach - ensuring technological advantage, sustainable capability development and a resilient future workforce.

Working in partnership with Navy to protect the country

The Enterprise Partnering Agreement (EPA) is a collaborative initiative between Saab and the Commonwealth of Australia, established to provide a common and sovereign combat management system across the Royal Australian Navy surface fleet. A common and capable CMS strengthens operational performance, enables timely delivery of future capability, and supports more efficient training and sustainment. Saab combat management systems currently operate across the Anzac class frigates, Canberra class landing helicopter docks, Supply class auxiliary oiler replenishment vessels and Arafura class offshore patrol vessels. The Saab-developed Australian Interface will also be deployed on the upgraded Hobart class destroyers and Hunter class frigates.

Proven combat capability, world leading situational awareness and a sovereign defence capability

A collaborative partnership between Saab and the Commonwealth, the EPA strengthens sovereign capability and provides the RAN with capability they require to protect Australia and its interests - the Australian Combat Management System (AusCMS).

The AusCMS empowers the Commonwealth to select the combat system elements required on each vessel to meet Australia's unique maritime operational requirements.

The partnership delivers benefits from across force posture, fleet planning and surface combatant operations to helping meet the Commonwealth's strategic and value-for-money objectives.
