Sensors and Services Unit

São Bernardo do Campo (SP)

The Saab facility in São Bernardo do Campo features a maintenance laboratory for highly complex electronic equipment. This laboratory is dedicated to performing maintenance on electronic warfare equipment and the AESA radar of the Brazilian Gripen, ensuring that these critical components are always operating at their peak performance.
In addition, the unit provides maintenance services for meteorological radars in the civil sector, as well as sensors and electronic warfare equipment for military aircraft more broadly.

Saab's commitment to the Gripen Programme in Brazil is highlighted by the installation of the only maintenance laboratory for Gripen's advanced radars and electronic warfare systems outside of Europe. The laboratory ensures a cost-effective maintenance solution and a high level of availability for modern sensors, supporting the aircraft's life cycle in the Brazilian Air Force. The laboratory has state-of-the-art automated test benches and a multidisciplinary team to handle different projects.

Additionally, Saab provides maintenance and repair services for meteorological radars in the civil sector, which is essential for society's safety. Saab Brasil also carries out maintenance of the electronic warfare IDAS system installed on helicopters of the Brazilian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
