The Difference Makers: Where curiosity matters and learning comes naturally
Growth happens every day at Saab. Sometimes by testing a new idea, sometimes by exploring a new technical area, and often by simply asking a question. For Tove Frennberg and Oskar Löwendahl, that curiosity has shaped their careers. Both describe Saab as a place where learning comes naturally and where you’re encouraged to try things you never expected to enjoy.
“I realised that engineering is really about problem-solving — and that’s what motivates me.” – Tove
”Here, you can grow without ever needing to leave the company — I’m a good example of that.” – Oskar

A day at Saab
A typical day for Tove and Oskar involves solving practical problems and helping colleagues move forward.
Tove works with the materials used in Saab’s products, making sure they meet the right quality and recommending improvements when something isn’t quite right. She often reviews results from inspections, supports production teams and evaluates new, more sustainable solutions.
“No two days are the same. Some days you focus on testing, other days you’re looking at how we can improve a process. There’s always something interesting happening.”
Oskar ensures that the tools and systems Saab relies on work smoothly and keep up with new technology. His work can include upgrading equipment, coordinating improvements with colleagues or exploring new ways of working.
“Technology moves fast, so we develop our skills all the time. Saab really supports that.”
Their days are varied, hands-on and full of small moments where learning and teamwork create progress.
What it’s like to work here (and why we like it)
Both Tove and Oskar describe Saab as a workplace where people are helpful, open and genuinely interested in seeing each other grow.
For Tove, the sense of community stood out from the start:
“I quickly felt that this was a place where I wanted to stay. People share knowledge, and you never feel like a burden when you ask for help.”
For Oskar, it’s a combination of trust and development opportunities:
“You can take your next step without leaving the company. That stability, combined with room to grow, is something I really appreciate.”
Why our work matters
Everything Tove and Oskar contribute helps Saab deliver reliable and safe solutions. Whether they’re improving materials, updating systems or solving a practical issue, their work supports Saab’s long-term mission to help people and society stay safe. Every small improvement matters. And over time, those improvements shape something bigger.
