Connected. Coordinated. Collaborative. Crewed where human skill is essential, uncrewed when it’s not. The boat that once deployed forces is now a combat capability, powerfully integrating people, platforms and effect across the naval domain, and beyond.
Multi-role by design, CB90 is rarely in the spotlight but always central to the mission. Fast to deploy, even quicker to act, and proven in the most demanding maritime environments. CB90 CX relentlessly distributes power to where it’s needed and when it is needed. Not only transporting troops to the mission, but now transforming how real missions are met.
CB90 CX. Distributed power made for reality.
Multi-domain situational awareness and sensor-to-effector coordination
Equipped with Saab's Sea Giraffe 1X radar and a Trackfire Remote Weapon Station (RWS), the CB90 CX provides multi-domain situational awareness and integrated sensor-to-effector capability.
The Sea Giraffe 1X delivers continuous 360-degree surveillance, with a technical range exceeding 100 km, enabling simultaneous detection, classification and tracking of air and surface targets, including unmanned aerial systems (UAS), small vessels and fast-moving threats.
By sharing and combining real-time sensor data across multiple platforms, the CB90 CX contributes to a more comprehensive common operational picture, improving situational awareness and supporting coordinated responses.
Combined with the Trackfire RWS's advanced electro-optical sensors, stabilisation and integrated fire control, this enables rapid target acquisition, accurate tracking and effective engagement of emerging threats, including UAS, in complex maritime environments.
Over-the-Horizon Surface Strike
Equipped with MBDA’s MARTE ER anti-ship missiles, the CB90 CX delivers precision strike capability against surface targets at ranges exceeding 100 km. Combining advanced guidance and navigation systems with targeting data from external sensors, the system enables effective engagement beyond the radar horizon.

With active radar guidance, sea-skimming flight profiles and all-weather capability, this solution significantly enhances the CB90 CX’s operational reach, flexibility and combat effectiveness in complex maritime environments.
Short-range air defence
Equipped with Rheinmetall's SeaSnake 30 remote-controlled weapon station, the CB90 CX gains short-range air defence capability against aerial threats, including unmanned aerial systems (UAS), helicopters and loitering munitions, as well as the ability to engage selected surface and land targets, such as small landing craft and patrol boats.
Combining a stabilised 30 mm automatic cannon, advanced electro-optical and infrared sensors, integrated fire control and programmable airburst ammunition, the system enables rapid target acquisition, accurate tracking and precise engagement, even while the vessel is moving. This provides flexible protection against low-altitude threats in complex maritime environments.
