Ground Combat
Sirius Compact brings new capabilities thanks to its low size, weight and power, particularly in comparison to equivalent larger static solutions. Because it can easily be integrated to drones, vehicles, vessels, masts or man-portable applications, users can rapidly deploy the system and scale its coverage as the situation demands. Sirius Compact is modular, scalable and can be used stand-alone, in a network of sensors or as a complement to existing sensors.
CBRN – are you prepared?
Saab is a leading CBRN system integrator, specialising in the design and development of fully integrated end-to-end sensor networks for civilian and military applications. Our wide selection of sampling kits meets the requirements and different needs of forensic sampling of CBRN operators in air, water, soil, powder, objects and vegetation. The CBRN transport container is a cost-effective single container solution for all needs, certified for transport by sea, air, road or rail and a wide range of toxic, biological, pathogenic, radioactive, chemical and explosive samples.
The CBRN Automatic Warning and Reporting (AWR) system can be used stationary or mobile for surveillance and tactical applications. CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle Kits (CRVKs) can be installed on civilian and military vehicles and fully support monitoring, sampling, reconnaissance and analysis in the field. Reversible, they reduce the costs associated with CBRNisation of a vehicle and limit operational availability issues.
Saab’s live training solutions delivers realism and the high-fidelity data to learn the key lesson to maximize combat effectiveness. Interoperability and fidelity, modularity and scalability are key components of excellent simulation training. Multinational training among allies and partners is a key issue for all NATO members. Saab has established close long-standing relationships with numerous NATO member and partner countries and operates in line with NATO standards.
Barracuda Soldier System
Barracuda Soldier Net is a lightweight thermal net that’s easy to use, whether waiting in bivouacs or moving between concealed set-ups. This is a versatile and simple solution that’s there when it’s needed to protect in times where you could be potentially exposed to sensor threats. Its modular design makes the Barracuda Soldier Net highly customisable and adaptable. Lightweight and easy to transport, the net can be neatly folded away into a small, carriable bag when it’s not needed and quickly accessed when it is. The visual and near-infrared colour pigments and patterns have been developed to be highly effective across a range of terrains, blending seamlessly into the background. Saab’s technology minimises the contrast between an object and the background, making sensory detection much harder.
The high-resolution 3D AESA radar Giraffe 1X is a lightweight and versatile multi-mission surveillance system that detects fast missiles and small UAVs, as well as RAM targets, in high-clutter environments. Giraffe 1X delivers a 360°, 75 km situational awareness with simultaneous air surveillance, GBAD target acquisition as well as RAM sense and warn capabilities without performance degradation. Thanks to the built in Drone Tracker, an enhanced functionality for detection and classification of low, slow and small objects the most challenging UAV threats are also handled. The radar covers, the entire search volume every second and provides air defence commanders with engagement quality target data and early warning with a tracking capability of more than 600 targets simultaneously.
CB90 Next Generation
The fast, all-aluminium CB90 Next Generation can effortlessly transport multiple troops and cargo in shallow or open waters with incredible speed and manoeuvrability. The interior combined with a solid bow ramp ensures rapid deployment on unprepared beaches. Thanks to the lightweight polyethylene skin and safety glass, the boat offers supreme CBRN and ballistic protection. A robust weapons platform can include stabilised turntables, smaller missile systems and remotely operated weapons stations such as the Saab Trackfire.
