Multi Function Consoles

Saab’s Multi Function Consoles (MFCs) deliver superior performance across all operational environments. Fully customisable and modular, they are designed for high durability, low weight and ease of maintenance.

Intuitive, innovative, ruggedised and reliable

Saab’s Multi Function Consoles provide intuitive, stable platforms, optimised for the monitoring and controlling of multiple critical systems simultaneously. Developed in cooperation with naval operators, universities and ergonomics experts, they increase efficiency, mission effectiveness and enhance operator comfort. When used together with Saab’s 9LV combat management command and control software, their characteristics combine to reduce operator cognitive load and fatigue, improving reaction times and saving valuable seconds in critical mission situations.

The modular design and nature of the platforms enable their use in a wide range of operational environments and in every situation Saab’s MFCs provide a clear and distinct presentation of the tactical and operational environment.

Combined with a logical human-computer interaction concept, the MFCs are suitable for all types of defence and commercial applications.

The MFCs are simple to install and engineered for quick and easy access during maintenance. Based on proven and ruggedized commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies, they leverage rapid commercial innovation to deliver a truly flexible multi-functional concept that can be rapidly upgraded whenever required.

Each module is cost-efficient, yet robust, incorporating built-in protection against electromagnetic interference, vibration, shock and temperature fluctuations and qualified against a large range of environmental standards.
