Precision fire with the ground-launched small diameter bomb – made here at home
Saab's commitment to the U.S. Army and domestic manufacturing is taking physical shape in Grayling, Michigan. Saab’s new advanced manufacturing facility will open next year [EB1] to increase domestic production of close combat and precision fire systems which will be showcased at the AUSA exposition.
The Ground-Launched Small Diameter Bomb (GLSDB), developed in partnership with Boeing, is a rocket artillery munition that provides land-based armed forces with precision warheads and a longer range than ever before. It can hit within the radius of a car tire from 150km, from any angle, with the power to penetrate reinforced bunkers and the flexibility to burst at height or detonate on impact.
GAMER (Gunnery and Maneuver Exercise) live training
Saab’s GAMER system is designed to prepare the next generation of warfighters. A modular, scalable live training system, GAMER simulates force-on-force encounters to capture and evaluate battlefield events in real time while simultaneously recording data for comprehensive after-action reviews. Used at the 2025 Northern Strike Exercise in Michigan, Saab’s GAMER technology supports the U.S. Army and its allies worldwide.
First Class Shoulder-Fired Weapons
Since the U.S. Army’s first adoption in 1985, decades of collaboration have shaped the AT4 product family, with new variants for changing combat environments. Lightweight, man-portable and fully disposable, AT4 variants give individual soldiers options for every battlefield, including confined spaces.
Saab also offers the Carl-Gustaf recoilless rifle, a man-portable, multi-role weapon system that allows dismounted soldiers to effectively deal with multiple challenges on the modern battlefield. At AUSA, we’ll be demoing the Carl-Gustaf M4 virtual Indoor Trainer.
