Conflicts of interest
Trust is fundamental to Saab’s business. It underpins all interactions with customers, government officials, suppliers, journalists, and other external stakeholders, regardless of their role.
Saab’s Code of Conduct requires all employees, directors, and officers to separate personal interests from company business and to act with transparency in identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest. Decisions made on behalf of Saab must always reflect the company’s best interests and must never be influenced by personal relationships or considerations.
Saab has identified several situations that may give rise to a conflict of interest, including:
- External employment or side businesses
- Family ties or close personal relationships
- Financial interests
- Board memberships or other external engagements
These examples are not exhaustive. Employees are expected to remain vigilant and exercise sound judgment in identifying any situation where personal interests could conflict—or be perceived to conflict—with Saab’s interests.
Any individual who becomes aware of a situation that may constitute, or reasonably be perceived as, a conflict of interest must promptly report it to their manager, Human Resources, or Group Legal Affairs. These functions will assess the situation and determine the appropriate course of action.
Saab’s commitment to managing conflicts of interest is a key element in maintaining the trust and integrity that form the foundation of its business.
