IDAS: Indian ALH (Rudra) self-protection system of choice for years

Saab's Integrated Defence Aids Suite (IDAS) system was first integrated with the Indian Army and Air Force's version of ALH (Dhruv) in the year 2005. For the last 16 years, the self-protection suite installed on more than 200 Indian Air Force and the Indian Army helicopters has played an important role in enhancing platform survivability in dense threat environments.

Recently, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh invited leading Swedish defence companies to set up manufacturing bases in India as he showcased India as an attractive destination for investment to produce military equipment and platforms.

Skeldar, VTOL Unmanned Aircraft System: Keeping One Step Ahead

The Skeldar V- 200 RPAS (remotely piloted aircraft system) is a medium-range VTOL UAV that can hover for hours while providing real-time information to a remote pilot station or to a remote video terminal. Saab Receives Follow-on Orders for Self-protection Systems for Indian Dhruv Helicopter

Defence and security company Saab has received follow-on orders from Hindustan Aeronautic Limited (HAL), India, for serial production of an integrated electronic warfare self-protection system for installation on the Indian Army’s and Air Force’s Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv. The orders have a total value of approximately USD78 million (SEK740 million).

Students Graduate From Saab’s DEEP Program

The second batch of students graduated from Saab’s Diploma Employment Enhancement Program (DEEP) in December 2013 from VKR and VNB Polytechnic colleges in Gudivada, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. A batch of 50 boys in two mechanical engineering classes and a class of 30 girls trained in soft skills were awarded diplomas at the graduation ceremony. Two more classes with 30 students each were also started.

Aerostructures Assemblies India Pvt Ltd (AAI) has rolled out the first batch of A380 structural assemblies on 21st February, 2014 from their facility in Belgaum (India).
